The first time I tried pickleball the guy explaining the game started talking about not going into the kitchen and how the goal was to get up to the net and start dinking. Well being immature, I of course thought that this was all pretty funny, especially when he told us that you couldn’t dink in the kitchen. As it turns out there is some dinking in the kitchen if the ball lands there first and what not but still the basic rule of thumb is that stepping into the kitchen is a no no.
