Science tells us that getting out into nature can help relieve stress and is good for our mental health. There are amazing things to see in forests everywhere. Depending on where you live the wildlife might be squirrels and raccoons, then again it might be bears and moose. Doesn’t really matter though because the thrill of seeing a critter in the wild is real. One day I saw a group of people hanging around with big cameras so I stopped to look at what they were looking at because you know where there is thousands of dollars of camera equipment gathered around a tree there is likely something worth seeing there. And so it was, this little owl was nestled into a hollow tree top just chilling… and probably wishing all these people would leave.

Anyway as I had my camera with me as one does when walking in the woods, I took a few shots of our little feathered friend. Later as I tried to figure out what exactly it was that I had photographed I thought this might make a good t-shirt. So here it is the Barred Owl nature T-Shirt in black or grey. Turns out this owl has a few other names like Hoot Owl, Striped Owl and of course a Latin name, the Strix Varia.
