Funny thing. I got a notice from the powers that be in jolly old England telling me that I was infringing on their intellectual property by saying L0nd0n tube map. Guess they felt that this shirt was competing for ridership. Nice to get noticed!

The National Capital Commission is a body that looks after many of the public lands within the Ottawa area. The board is made up of people from across the country and it is their job to make these lands accessible and relevant to all Canadians. The Parc de la Gatineau Park and it’s trail system is a highlight for both summer and winter adventurers and has been in use for over 100 years. The park offers hiking, both downhill and cross country skiing and snow shoeing all with sweeping views of Ottawa and the surrounding area.

If you have ever been to or hope to visit this national treasure then the map of the area will be familiar to you. In fact it’s kind of famous in the Ottawa area. One day the park map reminded me of the another famous map, the iconic Subway system map from London, England. I wondered what the Gatineau Park map would be like if it were done in the style of that famous map. So here you have it, the Gatineau trail map reimagined as the Gatineau Park subway map t shirt. This shirt is a must for anyone who enjoys the great hiking Gatineau’s trails and taking in the great outdoors.

Keep in mind that while this is a decent interpretation, I wouldn’t use it as a completely accurate, my life depends on it map…
